James Hannay (1968) is Senior Vice President of Zetes Northern Europe, responsible for the United Kingdom, Ireland and Nordics. Appointed to this position in 2009, he defines the strategy for Zetes Northern Europe to enable growth in AIDC solutions, in particular leading the market’s growth in adoption of voice recognition technology by retailers, logistics and manufacturing organisations.

Mr Hannay joined Zetes as UK Managing Director in 2007 following the acquisition of PEAK Technologies in November 2006 where he held the position of Sales and Operations Director.

During his 9 years at PEAK before being promoted to Sales and Operations Director, James was responsible for establishing PEAK as the market leader for wireless scanning solutions, most notably within the SAP environment, which played a major part in the transition of PEAK from a hardware focused business to a software solution led integrator of data capture solutions.

James has considerable experience in defining business strategy and market leadership direction, as well as a wealth of industry expertise in Goods ID solutions. His career to date provides him the vision to drive innovative step-change enabling organisations to address today’s dynamic and volatile business challenges.

Jean-Francois Jacques (1957), is Chairman of the Board of Zetes. Named to this position in 2005, he oversees all legal and administrative aspects of the company.

Mr Jacques joined the company in 1993 as co-Managing Director with Alain Wirtz.  At the helm in his current role as Chairman of the Board, Mr Jacques steered the company through a smooth transition from private to public company. Possessing business acumen and strategic vision, he has been instrumental in guiding Zetes through a series of successful acquisitions that are fundamental to the company’s business strategy to broaden its geographical coverage and heighten its technological competences.

Jean-Francois Jacques holds a law degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Alain Wirtz

Chief Executive Officer
Zetes Worldwide

Alain Wirtz (1962), is Chief Executive Officer of Zetes worldwide. Named to this position in 2005, he defines the company’s overall strategic course and solutions roadmap.

Mr Wirtz is a co-founder of the company. He was appointed as a Sales Manager in 1984 and became Managing Director in 1986. Alain Wirtz was one of the first to envision the huge potential of barcode and other automatic identification technologies in Europe. He has also been the driving visionary force behind Zetes’ international expansion and the investments the company has made in People ID solutions. While inspiring and promoting a company-wide collaborative spirit, making the best of his team, Mr Wirtz has a principal share in the leading position Zetes holds today in the Goods and People ID solutions’ market in EMEA.

Alain Wirtz holds a degree in Electronics.

Pierre Lambert

Pierre Lambert (1964), is Chief Financial Officer of Zetes worldwide. Named to this position in 2000, he is responsible for all financial matters at Zetes.

Pierre Lambert joined Zetes in 2000, providing the company with a strong financial expertness to consolidate its multinational organisation and to advise it on the business perspectives of potential acquisitions and investments. As such, he was the driving force behind the company-wide harmonisation of the financial structure and set up a consolidated reporting structure in compliance with market regulations. Pierre Lambert also spearheaded Zetes’ successful IPO in 2005.

Mr Lambert has developed an extensive know-how in the banking sector. Previously, he was Financial Director at Bank Crédit Agricole/Landbouwkrediet.

Pierre Lambert holds an economic sciences degree from Leuven University.
