As a leading systems integrator within the enterprise mobile space, a core part of our business is the development of both customised and productised software applications using various development languages.
Our commercial mainstream development languages experience includes the following:
- Microsoft Developers fully conversant in client and server side development using languages C#, C++ and Visual Basic (frameworks including ASP .NET and older ones including MFC, ActiveX and ASP)
- Java / Open Source Developers with Java and J2EE (frameworks including Spring, Struts and Hibernate)
- SAP Developers with ABAP and Java experience
Complementing the mainstream languages are a number of Auto ID frameworks that we use including MCL (a client server framework written by a subsidiary of ours) and Vocollect Task Builder (a directed voice framework provided by a Auto ID supplier). We also recognise that there are also a number of mobility frameworks that are available and take a pragmatic approach with our clients if these frameworks are required on particular projects.
Our database enterprise covers following enterprise databases; Microsoft SQL Server (7 onwards), Oracle (9i onwards) and MySQL. Integration capabilities cover a SAP (via Exchange Infrastructure), Oracle (using Oracle AQ) and a large number of other systems.
Within the UK business we have 15 full time development staff covering one or more of the above languages with a separate resource pool tasked with providing functional and non-functional quality assurance of solutions prior to release.
As an experienced and pragmatic software practitioner, we recognise we may need to draw on experience / capacity external to our own business, and to that end have access to both developers within the rest of our business and have occasionally brought in specialist resource using contract staff.
