Nucleus IS Enterprise is built using standard Microsoft technologies and tools (such as Microsoft IIS with ASP .Net and .Net CF). This combined with our ongoing commitment to keep at the leading edge of mobility, allows us to move forward with the continued advances in enterprise mobility technology.
All back office management tools are web based, allowing retailers to have the option of accessing information not only from head office but remotely, from the store and tablet PCs. Nucleus IS can be easily integrated with Web Services, relational databases, proprietary systems and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
Flexible communication options
Nucleus IS Enterprise can be implemented using three methods of communication:
Real time communications
Should full wireless coverage be implemented, Nucleus IS Enterprise can operate in a real time mode. Information can be collected, transmitted and validated in real time to the back office system.
Hot Spot communications
Should wireless coverage not be available then Nucleus IS Enterprise can operate in a semi-real time mode. By installing access points in key positions within the store environment, each user can transmit and receive data whilst roaming in and out of coverage.
Batch Communications
Nucleus IS can operate in a batch mode, by collecting and receiving data through a communications cradle connected to a local PC or Ethernet network.
